Tasting Notes: Strawberry x Lime x Panela
Farm: Finca Las Peñas
Region: El Paraíso
Producer: Sara Priscila Cerrato
For a second year, we bought this lot of Sara Priscila directly.
This coffee charmed us with its subtle notes of strawberries, its beautiful acidity and its sustained sweetness. The producer presents a variety of coffee that is still little known: the Parainema. Interesting fact; the grains are easily recognized by their impressive size and more elongated shape.
From a young age, Sara Priscilla Cerrato worked on her father's coffee plantation. Over the years, she bought part of this land. Today, she proudly owns 3 hectares of coffee and 1.2 hectares of mixed crops, including beehives. Sara works hard, with the help of her family, to create a 100% organic farm.
Entering the specialty coffee market is one of Sara's biggest challenges: “I can produce a great quality coffee but if I don't have access to market I will not be able to sell it at a good price and improve my family's economy ”
