I'm not sure what I can say about the Comandante that hasn't already been said in the reviews below. The Comandante is definitely a solid grinder - it makes my previous grinder, a Porlex Tall II feel a bit like a toy. The Porlex Tall II was my first grinder and it's good but the Comandante is better. The Comandate is looks nice on my shelf and feels good in my hand to hold. The grind size comes out consistently and grinding feels like it's easier. You still have to do some work to grind your coffee beans but with the Porlex, there were times I felt like the grinder would catch on something and I'd need to apply a little more force to turn it. And maybe it's just my imagination but I feel like the Comandante makes my coffee "pop" - I can actually taste the flavour notes listed on the bag of beans. I should add that my comments are just for pour over coffee, I don't drink espresso. I don't have any cons or bad things to say about this grinder except that there's a bit of static with the grinds and it takes a bit of effort to get the lid off the top of the grinder (I don't want to break it). But other than that, no real complaints so far. Also adding that service from Eight Ounce has been awesome as always!

Worth the Hype

This is an amazing consistent and smooth grinder— a huge upgrade on my espresso and pour-over game.
Pricey but worth it.

Note: Eight Ounce Coffee customer service is on a league of their own! Will definitely shop here in the future.

Great product, great service!

This grinder is leaps and bounds ahead of my Hario Skerton Pro (still a very good product for the price) in terms of quality and ease of use. It's an absolute joy to look at and to operate. I found only two minor downsides in my first couple of weeks of use:

1. The small glass containers are a bit tricky to clean with a brush to get rid of the coffee grounds (I use a rag to really get it all).
2. The amount of static is insane with this thing...! I have to use the James Hoffman trick of humidifying the coffee beans before grinding them. At least it really does eliminate about 90% of the problem.

Otherwise, I absolutely love this grinder!
