Ask anyone who likes coffee, and they will know about the humble, but reliable French press (aka coffee press or plunger).
There is good reason for this: a beverage with great body and lots of flavour - and it's easy to use. But it does have its issues. We've never met anyone who thinks a mouthful of coffee sediment is a delicious part of the coffee drinking experience.
In usual fashion, Espro has taken a reliable friend, dusted it down, and given it a new twist which seems so simple, you ask yourself why it hasn't been done before: They have changed the filter.
Whilst this may not seem groundbreaking at first glance, you'll notice they have implemented a unique two stage micro-filter that preserves all of the freshly brewed flavours and aromas, while keeping sediment out of your cup.
This isn't its only trick. Temperature is an important part of brewing so, courtesy of a dual wall, heavy duty stainless steel carafe, it keeps your coffee lovely and hot while brewing.
Like all Espro products, you get durable high quality construction and a good looking piece of equipment. The Espro Press P7 has a polished stainless steel finish.
It was hard to go back to my inferior drip machine after coming home from Europe. Spoiled with cafes and French Press coffee, I knew it was time for an upgrade.
The press I was using in France was a classic Bodum, which produced great body, flavour and texture. Everyone at breakfast was in heaven with my brews. However, the sediment at the bottom of our cups was a turn off and I'd see leftover coffee when it came time to clean up.
Enter google and the Espro.
This press is the quintessential press pot. With its upgraded double filter, you will see nothing but love at the bottom of your mug.
I love the double walled design, it stays hot until you finish all the coffee. The stainless is classy and elegant (just make sure to wipe it down as soon as you're done cleaning, it is a fingerprint magnet).
Be forewarned of its only downside (inherent in the design), you won't get 18oz of coffee. Two cups are lost to its double filter design, so if you like more than two cups per sitting, get the larger 32oz or be prepared to brew again.
Other than that, this is the best press for what I need since I'm the only coffee drinker in my house.
Combined with fresh beans and grounds, you will get a sense of what heaven feels like.
First off I liked how you answered my inquiry right away about the 18oz. Then I ordered Dec 16th even though it said the medium was on back order. I got it today - 22nd. So amazing service. The product is very well made. Made my first cup with free sample. The coffee was very hot- I just have to get the the amount of coffee right to my taste. So will experiment a bit. But very pleased with product and your excellent service.
