The first of a few fresh crop lots from Ethiopia are finally making appearances on our menu and holy crap we're so happy about it. Duromina needs no introduction - they were the first to really make a name for themselves (along with Nano Challa) as part of the Technoserve assisted makeover in the Agaro region of the West, just outside Jimma. They really are a darling in the coffee world and a testament to how community organizing and sustainable, long term, local led support can transform how an area functions financially and as a community on the whole - The quality of these coffees, especially Duromina, due to the local landrace varieties is full of things like lemon balm, white grape, purple herbs and flowers like lavender. This is also one of the few places left in the world where forest grown coffee, indigenous to the area in a biodiverse forest ecosystem still happens.
