Businde is a coffee washing station in the Kayanza District of Burundi. It's been in operation for over 10 years and has won the Cup of Excellence.
Unlike other washing stations, Businde has it's own plot of coffee plants that's up and coming. It's more common for small holder farmers to sell their coffee cherries to washing stations in Burundi and Rwanda. This is an exciting project that is empowering farmers to have better processed coffee. As such, this is an exciting project that is growing every year. The coffee here is sweet, it's well processed and the facilities are spotless.
