Minimum order $250 for wholesale pricing

Volume Discounts

For wholesale customers who wish to increase their margin and reduce their costs, we offer a volume discount of 10% on orders over $1000 in value (before shipping and taxes)

This discount applies to your entire order (excluding shipping and taxes), with some exceptions. The following exceptions are in place because of tight margins, reducing our ability to offer larger discounts.

We strive to keep our prices as low as possible, and on a few of products it is impossible to offer further discounts on the wholesale price. Rather than increasing the wholesale price for our smaller customers, we prefer to keep pricing accessible to everyone. In essence, the wholesale price is equivalent to a 10% discount, but is available to everyone. We have reduced the prices on some wholesale products to reflect this.

Exceptions to volume discounts:

Coffee
Tea
Syrups
Donations
Alternative Milks
Bean Dosers
Electric Brewers
Electric Grinders
Nut Milk Makers
Parts and replacements
Atago
Bentwood
Breville
Brood

DF Grinders
Duomo
Fellow Ode
Fiorenzato
Getchu Some Gear Canada
Kaffelogic
LUCCA

Once your order reaches $1000 you will see what your discount is on each item at checkout. If no discount is listed, it means it is excluded from volume discounts.

Effective February 1, 2024, our 15% discount tier was discontinued and free shipping extended. Please click here for more information.

  • The Physics of Filter Coffee by astrophysicist Jonathan Gagné is perhaps the most significant book ever written on the science of coffee brewing. In the book Jonathan discusses the physics of percolation, extraction, and grinding, as well as water chemistry. He takes the reader down such rabbit holes as pouring-kettle design, optimizing turbulence while pouring, the impact of fines on percolation, the physics of paper filters, and the geometry of various brewers. He also presents some original ideas about coffee brewing and backs it all up with reams of facts and data.

The most wonderful thing about The Physics of Filter Coffee is not the impressive depth of the science, but the practical lessons Jonathan draws from the science. Unlike, say, Illy's Espresso: the Science of Quality, an impressive treatise on the science of espresso, The Physics of Filter Coffee offers an abundance of practical recommendations derived from science, data, and experimentation. Any barista who reads this book will immediately have new tools to make better coffee.
