Shipping Update — June 9, 2026

We've been notified by our shipping carriers that the FIFA World Cup, hosted across Canada and the U.S. this summer, may lead to delays and disruptions across delivery networks. Road closures, added security, and heavy traffic around host cities, Toronto and Vancouver in particular, are expected to affect carriers nationwide. If you're in or near one of these areas, please allow some extra time for your order to arrive. We'll do our best to keep things moving and appreciate your patience.

Important information on shipping

Orders are fulfilled from our 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our warehouse team collaborates closely with our front office to guarantee precision, efficiency, and high-quality packaging. We carefully assemble all shipments in-house to provide you with the best-possible experience from the moment you order your coffee gear.

To get fast-moving products to our wholesale customers more quickly, we have also partnered with a third-party logistics provider (3PL) in Toronto. A growing selection of our most popular SKUs is now stocked there for faster delivery to Ontario, Quebec, and Eastern Canada. The product mix at our Toronto location will continue to evolve over time based on demand.

Shipping Estimates

We offer free standard ground shipping to all provinces. The Territories (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut), and P.O. Boxes, are not currently eligible for free shipping due to the rates provided by our carrier partners — this is something we will continue to work on.

The only live estimates you will see are for express shipping options, which are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the order.

Areas that are difficult to access by shipping carriers, or larger orders requiring multiple pallets, may incur additional charges outside of those calculated at checkout. Inside delivery is not included; if requested at the time of delivery, any surcharges will be billed to the receiver after delivery is completed.

Any costs incurred due to failure or refusal to receive a shipment, or any other issues caused through no fault of Eight Ounce Coffee or the carrier, will be the responsibility of the receiver.

These are transit time estimates only and not a guarantee. They do not include the time taken to process the order. Delays can occur due to weather, statutory holidays, network congestion during heavy volume periods, and other situations beyond our control. If your order is facing unexpected delays or issues with delivery, our customer service team will work with you to resolve them.

PLEASE NOTE:

Rural postal codes, P.O. boxes and addresses in the Territories may take longer and are handled exclusively by Canada Post.

Eligible SKUs fulfilled from our Toronto 3PL location may deliver to Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes faster than the timelines above.

Pallet Orders & Heavy Freight Shipping

For heavy or large-volume orders, we ship via pallet freight to ensure your products arrive safely and intact.

How shipping type is selected

Our system automatically selects the best shipping option based on the weight and dimensions of your order. In some cases, we override the system selection based on our experience with what works best for a given route, carrier, or product mix.

Choosing the right freight option at checkout

If a heavy freight option is presented to you at checkout, please make sure you select the one that matches your delivery location:

Option When to choose it
Standard pallet delivery Your location has a loading dock or forklift to receive the pallet.
Tailgate delivery You do not have a dock or forklift — the truck lowers the pallet to the ground.

If you are unsure which option fits your location, please contact us at hello@eightouncecoffee.ca or 403-457-9844 before placing your order — we're happy to help you choose. Selecting the wrong service may delay delivery or result in additional charges from the carrier.

Trailer access

Carriers typically use a 53' trailer to deliver pallet orders. If your location can't accommodate a 54' trailer, or is located inside a market or mall and needs special access, please add a note on your order describing the access requirements. This makes it easier for our fulfillment team to book the shipment with the right carrier and the right services to ensure a smooth delivery.

Heavy freight orders may incur additional charges outside of those calculated at checkout if your address is in a remote area or requires special handling. Inside delivery (moving the pallet past the threshold of your building) is not covered by Eight Ounce Coffee — any associated charges will be the responsibility of the receiver.

Within Calgary & Surrounding Areas

Storefront Delivery

We offer storefront delivery to brick-and-mortar locations in Calgary, Okotoks, Airdrie, and Chestermere, Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays). All deliveries are made before 5:00 PM.

For same-day delivery, the order must be placed before 10:00 AM. Orders placed after 10:00 AM will be delivered the next business day. Please select this option at checkout.

Showroom Pick-Up

Come and check out our full showroom where you can test out all of our equipment. Select pick-up at checkout and your order will be ready within 4 business hours. Give us a call at 403-457-9844 if you'd like to pick up sooner.

Orders will be held for a maximum of 10 days. After this period, uncollected items will be restocked and refunded subject to our refund policy. Perishable items such as coffee and tea are non-refundable.

Express Orders

Express orders are prioritized for same-day shipping, with a cutoff time of 11:30 AM MT. Orders placed after this time should be confirmed by calling 403-457-9844 and we will do our best to accommodate you. Express shipments are delivered on business days only; orders shipped on Friday will be delivered no earlier than Monday, excluding statutory holidays which may cause additional delays.

P.O. Box Addresses

Shipments to P.O. Box addresses are handled exclusively by Canada Post or USPS.

US Customers

Orders shipped to the US move through UPS, Canada Post, or DHL depending on weight, destination, and service level.

Distribution Agreements

Due to our distributor agreements, we are unable to ship the following brands outside of Canada:

Freight Forwarding

Due to our distributor agreements, we are unable to permit freight forwarding of any of the brands we carry. This policy is also meant to protect our customers, as all warranties are voided in the event that products become damaged in freight forwarding. If we detect a violation of this policy, we will have to deactivate the wholesale account and discontinue further wholesale purchases from Eight Ounce Coffee.

Packaging

Rather than issuing a new box for each order, we prefer to repurpose the packaging materials we receive. This approach reduces costs and minimizes environmental impact. We also repurpose unused boxes by shredding them into cushioning material to protect fragile items during transit. When new packaging is necessary, we select the most eco-friendly options available.
