About the Design

Rachel's idea for the "Coffee Detective" series was to create a character who playfully embodies the kind of obsession coffee can spark in people.
"A spy is a classic archetype of intrigue, mystery, and over-the-top seriousness. This lead me to wonder: what happens when you drop that character into the world of specialty coffee? I like to imagine he tumbles straight down the rabbit hole and becomes instantly obsessed."
