SIBARIST FLAT is a high-performance flatbed filter designed with FAST or B3 Specialty Coffee Filter technology to enhance extraction and flavour clarity.

The FLAT is an original, non-fluted, flat-bottomed filter designed and registered by SIBARIST. Its smooth and unobstructed surface ensures a perfectly even brewing space with full access to the coffee bed. This design eliminates the bypass effect, maximizing coffee particle yield while preventing grounds from getting trapped in fluted areas.

SIBARIST is devoting the same care and attention to the filter that goes into obtaining an exceptional coffee. Paying attention to detail throughout the whole supply chain, from the origin of the raw material on estates and plantations to its local processing and manufacture in Barcelona, Spain. Hybrid

Just started with Sibarist paper filters. Definitely interesting way folding them. The hybrid ones bring better experience than the fast (origami edition) ones. Will keep experimenting with other light/ medium roasted beans

Harder & slower then FAST FLAT filters

I did a comparison with the FAST FLAT filters on the Orea v4, and I felt like the extraction is less with the B3 paper.

Sibarist B3 Specialty Filters

I have purchased both the flat and hybrid variants of these filters, and so far I have enjoyed using them. In comparison to other filters I have used, like the untabbed Hario filters and Kalita options, I find that I can push a coffee finer in grind without running into issues with astringency. These filters have helped me get more out of some the lighter roasted coffees than I could with other filters. With that said, I do have to point out that it took me a decent amount of time to figure out how to properly and consistently fold each filter, but maybe that's a me problem rather than the filters. I really do enjoy the resulting cups from these filters, and would recommend picking up a pack to at least experiment with. For me, these will be reserved for special coffees I get to try, as the price point doesn't make sense for me to use as a daily driver filter.

Tricky to fold at first

Tricky to fold at first, but simple once you get the hang of them. When using the Orea V4, I find I extract more with wave style filters (though the medium size doesn't sit exactly right which could be the issue here). Still better and faster than the other available options!

SIBARIST

The team at eight ounce is amazing, they took the time to nerd out with me over a drawn down issue I was having. I use the Hario Switch but have the Niche Zero which was creating a lot of fines that was slowing the pours and making some questionably tasting coffee.

The SIBARIST paper really tackled the issue with faster draw downs and the design of the flat bottom. Although an expensive filter, is you occasionally make pour over then it may be worth the money.
