IT COOKS AS GOOD AS IT LOOKS
This HARIO rice cooker allows you to enjoy better rice flavours from being able to cook over a direct flame, just like the traditional way.
The increased thickness of this rice cooker makes flame adjustment unnecessary, which is, frankly, the difficult part of cooking rice over a direct flame. The whistle at the top of the lid will let you know when to turn off the heat. Once it whistles, stop the heat and let it steam for 15 minutes. Using the steam heat stored in the rice cooker, under the glass lid, will draw out more flavours from the rice. Also, being able to see the rice cook is exciting and worry free!

This gorgeous traditional rice cooker is all the quality and design we have come to expect from Hario. Best results from a gas flame cooker; but watch heat settings on electric or you'll get a layer of crunchy rice!
Rice taste great. It tells you how much water to add and when to turn the heat off. Easy rice pot to use.
A little nervous buying this Japanese product from a coffee company. But it was shipped quickly and I gave it as a Xmas gift. My son in law loves it and it consistently makes great fluffy rice. Just right for their family of 4.
Who knew a ceramic pot could cook rice perfectly. The instructions that came with the box were in Japanese, but it's easy to find the English user manual on Hario's site. My son loves the whistle that it makes when the rice is ready.
The thick base is excellent at gently cooking rice without burning the bottom. The whistle on the handle works well to let you know when to shut off the stove.
The size is on the large side for 2 people but is great if you need extra rice for lunch or a small family,
