Good Product

Promptly delivered and well packaged. Really nice looking hand blown glass that makes up to two 350ml cups. The thick filter removes a lot of fines and oils for a clear, pure looking and tasty coffee. I also ordered the lid, and like being able to put the glass on the gas cooktop to keep the second cup hot. I recommend using the general rule of 60g of coffee grounds per litre of coffee, which is just a tad less than Chemex's recommended one rounded tablespoon (hardly a precise measure) per 5 US ounce (150ml) cup. I found that a medium coarse grind, as recommended by Chemex, of 750µm (0.75mm) gives good extraction. I also make 50ml more coffee than I want to drink to allow for absorption by the filter and grounds when I make more than 350ml of coffee.

Beautiful Product

Bought this as a birthday gift for my fiance and he loves it. Holds in the hand really well for pouring and looks good enough to display on the counter. in combination with the Chemex filters, it makes one hell of a great cup of coffee in the morning.

Personally love having hand-blown glass vs machine molded which is why I went for this one. I'm sure the other one makes just as good coffee.
