Who doesn't love a lovely plum bottom. This gorgeous hand-made dual wall borosilicate glass snifter cup has an hourglass shape that is not only beautiful to look at, it helps trap aromas adding to the tasting experience. Great for coffee, tea, beer, whiskey, and other fine libations.

A light and interesting glass

This was an impulse purchase from a serious tools and glassware nerd.

I loved the look and style of the glass, and I really wanted to see how it worked to improve aromatics. When I got it out of the box, I immediately noticed how incredibly light it is. It feels almost flimsy and delicate. Mine has a small bubble in the glass by the SAI logo on the bottom. It doesn't stick out far enough to prevent the glass from sitting flat on a surface, but it is noticeable and creates a hollow spot enough large to hold water when washing. I'm not sure if this is a defect or a regular result of manufacture.

In terms of tasting beverages, it has a very light effect that, as far as I can tell, is down to the lip of the cup encouraging you to drink from the front of your palette.

I can't really recommend this glass and I have my eyes on the double-wall fellow glasses next.
