Impressive Debut

I’d heard about Eight Ounce through a friend. Not having a go to for my coffee needs I gave them a try. I have to say every step of the process from my Espro purchase to my new scale purchase was great. Kolter took the time (on many occasions) to make sure my curiosities and needs were being met. I’ve begun a new at home coffee regiment thanks to his expertise and genuine care for my requirements. Happy I have found a go to coffee company in my pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee.

Perfect Press

Slightly bigger and better designed than my previous bodem. The dual filter & rubber ring do a better job in keeping fines out of my cup. There's a max & min option for the quantity you want. Good price too.

Minimum volume

Love the coffee that comes out of this French press and the double filter is definitely a noticeable difference! I wasn't expecting there to be a minimum volume for making coffee, though. Guess I'll have to figure something else out when I only want one cup, but definitely no regrets! Also good for making cold brew.

Great concept, flawed design.

I like how this can brew 32 ounces at a time so I can take this camping and not have to brew multiple times for many people. It being glass with a plastic casing is a great affordable solution. Though the shape of the filter is the downfall of this brewer. When you plunge and pour not all the liquids with strain through the filters and into your cup. There's just nowhere for a little amount of liquids to pass through the plunger because of the shape. In order for me to get more of the coffee into my cup I have to keep it in the pouring position, unplunge slightly and plunge again so that the grinds come loose and causing the rest of the brew to pour out. There's a lot of retention. The dual micro filters also don't remove all the silt, but there's way less than a regular French press so I can't complain about that. My major issue is the coffee retention that I have to work extra for.
