Excellent for what it is

My wife and I absolutely love this grinder. Acknowledging that it is on the lower end of the mid-grade grinder scale, it's exactly what we want. A good size, good adjustments, appropriate sized motor, etc.

One caveat, I don't brew espresso so can't comment on its ability in that capacity. But perfect for pour-over, french press, and Aero-press which are staples in our home.

Very good with a couple of sub-points

This is a lovely grind. Appropriately precise and easy to use. I don’t imagine it would satisfy the perfectionists of the coffee world but for everyday pour over life it seems perfect.

Sub-points: it’s not as quiet as they claim on the fellow website. But it’s not loud, but I’ve seen “whisper quiet” in some reviews. Those folks need to learn about whispering.

Retention is worse than I expected. Up to half a gram per dose. A good tap and using the lid as a bellow works, but it’s worth noting.

There’s some precision grind adjustments internally that are worth watching the YouTube guides to understand too.

Great All-Rounder

Purchased as a gift for a friend to upgrade their growing set of coffee tools. Not quite as consistent a grind as something like a K6 hand grinder, but a really tough value to beat for anyone opposed to manual labour before they’ve had their morning cup.

Great grinder

Grinder makes good espresso and the shots i pull seem to be consistent. Takes a bit to get use to the inner vs outer ring adjustment, but once you do it’s a non-issue. Static is non existent and the area remains relatively clean with all of the grinds landing in the dosing cup. Overall great value grinder, and it’s one of the best looking grinders out there. The only grinder id consider at this price point is the Baratza ESP.
