    Designed as an electric version of the Stagg Pour-Over Kettle, the minimalist Stagg EKG gives you ultimate control. It's the same great kettle with an intuitive, steady pour from Stagg's precision pour spout but with the added electric variable temperature control that will let you brew with greater ease and more control over every variable.

    Because wood is a natural product it is prone to drying and warping. Wood components that are exposed to high heat and moisture, such as the lid pull and handle, may eventually dry out and crack (like repeatedly putting a cutting board in a dishwasher). To prevent this, we recommend periodically applying mineral oil to the lid pull & handle once per month - and buffing with a soft cloth. It’s also good practice to do this any time you notice the wood feeling especially dry.

Works well, well made, slow pourer

I'm impressed with the build quality and how fast it heats up. The temperature control seems precise although I haven't verified it. It does pour slowly which is fine for pour overs but if you're in a hurry to make tea, you need to be patient.

Wow ! J’adore cette bouilloire pour faire des pour-over. Elle permet de bien contrôler la température et le débit d’eau pour une extraction parfaite. Évidemment, c’est cher pour une « simple » bouilloire, mais je ne m’en passerais plus.

Beautiful and accurate kettle

After so much research, I decided to go with the Stagg EKG for pour overs. I'm really happy with the pour, the aesthetics, the accuracy, and the aesthetics. The polished copper keeps its shine and a quick wipe removes any water droplet marks.

We tried a prior open box kettle through the yard sale and the electronics malfunctioned within a few days of use. Eight Ounce quickly took care of the issue and our new model is performing reliably.
