  • PURSUING PERFECT MANUAL ESPRESSO

The Flair 58 Plus 2 is the flagship manual espresso maker from Flair Espresso. Experience a true barista workflow, full control over all brew variables (and an integrated preheat controller) in a small countertop footprint.

The Flair 58 Plus 2 includes everything from the Flair 58 Family, like an integrated pressure gauge, 58mm portafilter, and preheat controller, while adding three key upgrades:

    1. The preheat system controller has been embedded into the base for seamless control
    2. The power supply has been significantly reduced in size
    3. The wiring has been streamlined for ease of use

The preheat system still includes three different levels: low, medium and high, which roughly correlate to brewing temperatures needed for dark, medium and light roasts respectively. And, if you're feeling the travel itch, this espresso maker easily unplugs to brew espresso without any wires.

Finally, with the featured valve plunger, the espresso workflow is unrivaled, ensuring that if you're brewing for yourself or your friends and family, one shot or multiple, the Flair 58 Plus 2 will delight with the ease and simplicity of creating delicious espresso.

Exactly what you expect, and a little more

The flair 58+2 is really no different of an experience from the 58+ in terms of temp stability, and ease of use. The flair is my second lever machine coming from a Flair neo to prove I actually wanted to get into espresso and not just stick with filter. The 58 requires a bit more of a learning curve, but I have had some absolutely amazing results, and I will admit that it's been lovely to be able to pull shots that look like those I've seen for ages. The variability of pressure in a lever machine means that even with an off shot, you can alter your pressure to still salvage a good shot.

The big change in the 58+2 is the wiring, which I will say is not a make or break, but I will admit is a nice to have since it keeps my already busy espresso bar looking a tad bit cleaner. The cord could be a little longer as it does make moving my machine around a bit harder than I'd like, and with the arm being so high and my espresso area being under a cabinet it complicates things a bit. but those are small gripes that are fixed with a small extension cord.

As a whole I am more than happy with my Flair 58+2, and would recommend it to anyone.
