Kinu grinders give you greater grind control with precise, stepless adjustment. With a true zero point and 50 marks per revolution of the control knob, making grind adjustments is easy and repeatable. Each mark on the knob equals 0.01 mm of vertical movement of the burrs, which means you can fine-tune your grind with exacting precision. With a proprietary, Black Fusion coating, the Stainless Steel, conical burr set excels with Turkish, espresso and fine drip grind fineness, and is still quite capable at creating a coarser grind for delicious immersion brew methods.

    • High-end, stainless-steel single dose manual coffee grinder
    • Unique Morse cone principle full metal construction, resulting in the auto-centering of the burrs
    • Thumb stopper for easy handling
    • Micrometrical, step-less reproductible and easy grinding adjustment

    • 47mm professional grade conical burrs for fast grinding, Black-Fusion treated

Top notch build quality

What an amazing manual grinder! To feel it in your hands, it was definitely built with a quality to stand the test of time and its something I feel I'll be owning for a very long time. The grinds are excellent and it doesnt take too much time and effort to grind the coffee i need. The only downside i find with the m47 is the static build up on the discharge side which requires regular maintenance, a minor task that isnt really an inconvenience. Overall, i love the feel of it and feel it is an excellent value product for its price, the warranty definitely backs it up.

A Joy to Behold

I'm not going to write a big review on this, since I've only had it for a short while, and there are many reviews/tests out there. What I will say, is that this thing blows me away. I have electric grinders, but for traveling around, my porlex mini grinder was leaving me wanting more. THIS is the more. The cups I'm getting from this are amazing, it's fast to grind, and it is built with a precision that makes you want to hand grind your own coffee, when you could instead use your electric grinder. Just waiting on the magnetic catch cup, since the plastic one is the one part that feels a little cheap... It's nice to have the options though!

Perfect

I remember the first time I drove a Mercedes. At the time, my car was a 1984 Volkswagen Jetta.

The Mercedes engine sounded like a sewing machine, and felt like a jet engine's acceleration. It felt -- and *was* -- unimaginably precise, smooth, powerful, and beautiful.

This grinder is like that. I'm delighted with it.

Excellent Build but less than perfect

This grinder is great. The build quality is amazing.
Pros:
The fit and finish are impeccable
Feels hefty and solid with no looseness
Grinds quickly
Very smooth
Consistent grind

Cons:
More fines than I like especially grinding for Aeropress, which is giving me a cup that is a every so slightly muddied and bitter, but working on it.
Awkward to hold as the stainless steel body is very slipper and the thumb stop, at least for my hands, does not prevent it from slipping a lot.
Static Retention is relatively high up to .3g
Not as simple to load, with beans frequently spilling out. Nothing major, but I find myself searching for the elusive bean under on the floor more often than I like.
The plastic cup feels very cheap

Would I have been better off with a Comandante ???
