Great gadget

Ordered both Kruve base and the the 10-pack sieves.
Have recently purchased Turin 83 grinder with Italmill set and was quite disappointed in pourover range fines amount making the taste pretty generic.

Using the Kruve was able to perfectly fine-tune grind with all the fines going towards espresso and the boulders to re-grind. What a difference!

Of course, this exercise is not for everyday coffee, as it takes some time. But, for those leisure mornings, it's almost Zen-like to me.
Also, The Eight Ounce had an incredible price on both almost $50 below any competition, and shipped it to me quite fast.

Like the other person noticed, the primary use for me still would be diagnostics of grind profiles of different grinders/burrs to aide in proper dial-in. But I like to have occasional fun trying different grind ranges to see the effect on pourover coffee taste.

The only reason anyone is purchasing this item is because they have the base model with 5 sieves and it is not enough range to really nerd out on coffee grind sizing. I purchased the base model on a whim to try out and see if it was something that would add to my coffee experience and overall it has but I found with only 5 sieves, it was limiting. So here I am a proud owner of the addition 10 sieves that gives me that full range. I have yet to use every single sieve and honestly unless you get really deep down the rabbit hole, there are probably a few that will be used often with a few others that will come out in other situations. It is always nice to have the option to sift coffee in various ranges.

There is not much out there on the market that compares to this product. For me, it is primarily a diagnostic tool for figuring out comparable grind settings between grinders. I have also used it to filter out chaff and fines to improve the taste of a pourover brew. It is actually quite an experience using grinds that are consistently sized. The brewing experience is much nicer due to the lack of fines clogging the filter and the taste is reigned in slightly due to the lack of fines extracting in the brew.

This item is hard to justify as it is not meant to be a daily use item, it could be, but it definitely adds to the workflow. I don't compete in any competitions, but I have seen that this is something that a few competitors have used to improve their competition brews.
