  • 10 Capsules | BLACKBERRY - CANDYFLOSS - CHOCOLATE

A bright sweet cup with delightfully crisp, zingy acidity.

Coffees in the Colonna Foundation genre are balanced, clean and complex - with low bitterness and pleasing acidity. Flavours like these can only be achieved by growing the right coffee in the right place, with meticulous attention to detail during the harvesting process.

The San Ignacio province, from where this coffee hails, sits at the very top of the Cajamarca region of Northern Peru, with the land boasting an impressively diverse range of flora and fauna. As a protected natural area a methodology of conservation across the smallholdings of the region has become paramount.

This mixed-variety lot from the Agraria Frontera Cooperative has been Red Honey processed using wood-tank fermentation. Created from fallen Romerillo trees (regulations prohibit felling), the wooden tanks disperse the heat created in the process, allowing a more even temperature across the crop.

Compatible with the Morning Machine (as are all Nespresso® OriginalLine® compatible capsules)

Delicious

This is a HUGE step up from nesspreso capsules. the quality is first rate and i don't see the problems the other reviewer has with flow rate etc. This is a top notch coffee roaster from Europe and the coffee is delicious each and every time. Kudos to Colonna for making these capsules.

They taste good - certainly at least a couple steps above the first-party Nespresso capsules - and are well priced for the quality. However, my issue with these capsules is that the coffee just sort of dribbles out of the nozzle of the Nespresso machine, like there is some kind of flow problem due to the design/construction of the capsule. The yield is affected by this, which makes it hard to get the consistent 25 millilitre volume regardless of machine calibration. Sometimes, if very little comes out, I just press the button again to get a drinkable amount of coffee, even if it is not technically the correct amount.
