Los Cedros is a collection of coffees from around 200 different families in the area. Growing between 1000 - 1200 MASL in the West Valley where the pleasant climate provides the perfect conditions for the development of their coffee. In this region, varieties like Caturra and Catuai are what traditionally would be grown and harvested, however, in order to fight against climate change, leaf rust and drought, there has been a renewal of varieties such as Obata, Marsellesa, different types of Sarchimors and other hybrid varieties. Planting varieties such as these, are steps toward sustainable farming.
